Crafted from 304 stainless steel, the Detour pan has an aluminium layer built into the base for efficient heat distribution. A large-radius curve between the base and sidewalls matches Sea to Summit utensils for easy frying or sauteing, and makes cleanup really simple. A Click-Safe handle gives you perfect control, and can be reversed when stowing the pan.

Like all materials used in Sea to Summit tableware products, the heat-resistant silicone used in Frontier and Detour collections is BPA-free. It is certified to both EU and FDA food grade standards, which signifies very low absorption of external materials. It is also heat resistant to 300ºF and doesn't crack in the cold.

Is the pan dishwasher safe?
No - the pan handle attachment point is hard anodized and is not dishwasher safe.
Does the Detour frying pan have a non-stick finish?
No - the surface is polished stainless steel. Use more oil than with a non-stick pan and keep the heat a little lower.
Will the pan work on an induction stove?
Yes - the Detour Pan is induction compatible
What is a 'three-ply base'?
The base is a sandwich of stainless steel (for durability) and aluminum (for heat distribution) for the perfect cooking experience

Our warehouse is actively shipping orders from 8am to 1pm MST Monday through Friday. Most orders ship in one business day, but the transit time can take up to 7 days, depending on your distance from Boulder, Colorado.
