Fit & construction

Our travel liners come in a Standard or Long Rectangular fit, Double, Mummy, Mummy with Hood and Traveller (with pillow insert). Our technical liners are a tapered mummy shape. The best rule of thumb is to choose a liner shape that best fits the shape of your sleeping bag. Or if you’re more swayed by handy construction features—we have liners that come with hoods, pillow inserts and comfort stretch panels.

How do I wash my sleeping bag liner?

Easily. All our sleeping liners are machine washable and require only your standard laundry detergent. If you’re using a top-loader washing machine, place the liner in a pillowcase or laundry bag first to stop any cords being caught up in the impeller. Steer clear of fabric softeners when cleaning your liner as they can affect the wicking properties of the material. To dry your liner, it’s best to hang it on a washing line to air dry. Using a dryer could expose it to excessive heat, which can damage the fabric.

Thanks for your question, Armando. You can wash a Spark Sp 0 in a washing machine but only if it is a front-loader machine with a gentle cycle that you would use to wash silk or woolen garments. We would recommend putting the Spark Sp 0 in a mesh bag to avoid any possibility of the drawcord becoming snagged in any way. If you use a down soap such as Grangers or Nikwax Down Soap, the down will not be harmed by the wash process. Spin the Spark Sp 0 thoroughly to make sure as much water is removed as possible, then place the Spark in a large cotton bag (perhaps a pillowcase) before putting it in a dryer set to ‘cool’. Dry it until the down is completely dry. Washed carefully as described above maybe once or twice a season, a Spark should provide years of service.

How should I care for a spark 0 sleeping liner? I am interested in it because of its ultra light weight but I fear that washing it frequently will lower its durability quickly. Is it okay to put it in the washing machine as this post advises or are there different care instructions because of the goose down?
